At a broad commodity level during FY 2013-2014, Thermal coal, Coking Coal, Fertilisers (Raw Materials), POL & other cargo traffic have recorded positive growth of 22.09%, 18.26%, 4.63%, 0.72% and 0.28% respectively.

The seaborne cargo traffic of Fertilizer, Coal and container are demand driven while POL traffic is largely imports and driven by the domestic demand supply situation in the economy. In particular, Iron Ore is declined by 13.38% in FY 2013-14 as compared to FY 2012-12.

Amongst the dry bulk categories IRON Ore & Finished Fertilizer has posted sharp decline of 13.38% & 17.97% respectively and Thermal & Coking Coal have posted growth as 22.09% and 18.26% respectively during FY 2013-14 .

In the liquid bulk category, cargo growth in crude and petroleum was marginal by 0.72% during April, 2013 to March, 2014.

Container traffic (in million tonnes) which reflects trade in manufactures and components recorded negative growth of 4.32% during April 2013 to March 2014 .

All the module and ePayment with 14 bank has been implemented. Collected around 200 Crore during May 2014 from users through e-payment module of PCS. Also implemented SMS gateway for sending SMS for Vessel approval to Users.
